Biography

Nicholas Eisenhaur was the husband of Maria Catherina "Katy" Strum.[1] He was probably born before 1777, the year his wife was born.[2]

Nicholas Eisenhauer married Anna Maria Catherine Strum on Jan 7, 1796 at Lunenburg.[3] It's difficult to parse through as there are 3 Nicholas Eisenhauers having children at this time, but I believe they are credited with the following in the parish register;

  • George - 1796-07-16
  • Anna Elizabeth - 1798-11-02
  • Edward - 1799-05-06
  • William - 1801-01-08
  • Nicholas - 1802-12-24
  • Leonard - 1804-01-24
  • Sophia - 1805-10-21
  • Benjamin - 1808-11-07
  • John - 1812-02-09
  • Anna Maria - 1816-08-24

Eisenhaur-9 and Eisenhauer-322 appear to represent the same person because: There are 2 Nicholas Eisenhauers born in Lunenburg within 2 years of each other. 1 marries Mary Margaret Emeneau, the other (this one I believe) marries Anna Mary Catherine Strum. I do not know if there's any way to tell which is which.. but the elder likely married first, and this would be the younger who was born to Johannes.

Entirely plausible either is correct. But we need to work on merging and connecting these profiles.
