HAWTHORNE - Linnea "Lennie" Dora Ekstrom Gibbs, 103, died Feb. 1, 2001, at Mount Grant Hospital.
A Washburn, N.D., native, she was born Aug. 5, 1897, to John Alfred and Anna Elizabeth (Olson) Ekstrom and had lived in Hawthorne since 1942, coming from Oakland, Calif., San Francisco, Bismark, N.D., and Washburn.
Mrs. Gibbs was an office clerk and bookkeeper for several county, state and federal governments. She also worked for import and export firms in Oakland and San Francisco. She was a member of the Washburn American Legion.
Husband, Clarence, died in 1968 and sister, Freda Hugart died in 1993.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service is scheduled for 3 p.m. Feb. 18 at Gunter's Funeral Home, 10th and G Streets.
