Clyde D. Elam, my dad, was a twin.
His twin is Claude Wayne Elam, aka Blackie Elam. They were nicknamed Pinky and Blackie by their older brothers. Dad, Pinky, had a pink bald head when he was born and uncle Blackie had black hair....."Pinky & Blackie" and it stuck for life. They were both talented musicians both played the guitar and sang Bluegrass, gospel, and country music. Pinky had a long career in civil service; was a chief in the Navy and an NCO in the Army. He made a great living for his family. He was a great father and husband. He retired and played music in various bands he started until he was struck down by "Lewi Body syndrome".
