Emanuel was born about 1833 the son of Emanuel Eldred a labourer, and Sarah (Rayner) Eldred, and he was christened on the 1st December 1833 at St Mary, Bocking, Essex.[1]
1841 Census on the 6th June 1841 Emanuel was living in Church Street, Bocking, Essex with his parents Emanuel and Sarah and his siblings George, Emily, Phoebe. Charles Rayner aged 8 was also staying there.[2]
1851 Census on the 30th March 1851 Emanuel a silk factory hand, was living in Church Street, Bocking, Essex with his parents Emanuel and Sarah and his siblings George, Emily, Phoebe, Eli and Alfred. Charles Rayner a son-in-law, was also staying there.[3]
