Biography
Harriet Eldredge was born in 1830 in Chardon, Geauga, Ohio. She was the third of five known children born to Franklin Eldredge (1801-1888) and Eliza Maria (Van Dyke) Eldredge. Her parents had migrated to Ohio in the 1820s.
Harriet married Francis E. Foote in Chardon before 1850. Known children:
- Eugene Foote, 1850–1863
- James Foote, 1853–1889
- Mary Foote Harvey, 1856–1929
Harriet Eldredge Foote died on January 29, 1923 in Chardon and is buried in the Chardon Municipal Cemetery, in Sec 2 Lot 163 Gr 6, near her husband's grave. [1]
