lla was the third child of seven children born to Walter Wilson Eldridge, Jr. and Maria Ida Shoup. She married Chaucy "S." Boyer (son of John Boyer and Elizabeth Shultz) on 6 Apr 1906 in Middlebury, Elkhart, Indiana. They had three children:
