Biography
Edward Elers, born about 1782 [1]was son of Paul Elers and his wife, Elizabeth Debonnaire. He joined the Royal Navy about 1794. [2]
He married Eliza Younghusband, daughter of George Younghusband and his wife, Ann Hall, on 25th January 1807 at Alverstoke, Hampshire[3][1]
On 6 July 1805 he was posted to HMS Orion, captained by Edward Codrington and served at the Battle of Trafalgar.[2] [1]
Edward died while ashore on half pay on 16 January 1815. [2]
