DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Jared by comparing test results with other carriers of his Y-chromosome or his mother's mitochondrial DNA. However, there are no known yDNA or mtDNA test-takers in his direct paternal or maternal line. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Jared:

Hi Jeff! MatchBot proposed a merge of Eliot-88 and Elliott-2271, which do appear to be intended to represent the same person. However, I think some issues need to be resolved before the merge can proceed:
  • surname is Eliot (just one "l" and one "t") or Elliott?
  • dates for the two profiles match, including marriage date to two different women
  • the profiles for his father are duplicates & should be merged first.

Thanks! Liz ~ [[Space:MatchBot Monitors Project|MatchBot MP]

Hi! Thank you for approving the MatchBot-proposed merge with Eliot-88, but I think some issues need to be resolved first.
  • surname is Eliot (just one "l" and one "t") or Elliott? (looking at sources, I would say Eliot)
  • dates for the two profiles match, including marriage date to two different women
  • Wikipedia article on Jared Eliot (1685-1763), "farmer, minister and physician...was the eldest son of Joseph Eliot and his second wife, Mary Wyllys." - this appears to be Eliot-88. The article also says this Jared is the grandson of "John Eliot and his wife Hannah" ... this profile has Hannah as wife.

Also, the profiles for his father are duplicates & should be merged first.

Thanks! Liz ~ MatchBot MP
