Biography
William was born at Hartshill in 1837[1][2]. He married Sarah Harding at Hartshill on 8 Mar 1859[3], and they had nine children. In 1861 the family was living at Stoke Road, Penkhull[4] and WIlliam was a Brick and Tilemaker like his father. By 1869, he had become a Police Constable living at Adderley Green, Caverswall.[5][6][7]. William died in 1897.
