Biography
Samuel was born at Adderley Green in 1869[1] [2] [3][4][5] [6] , in the 1891 census he is described as a Blacksmith, but in later life he was a Grocer. He married Elizabeth Leech in 1895[7][8], but she died in 1900[9] without leaving any children. He then married Selina Finney at Caverswall on 7 May 1901[10], together they had 3 children. Samuel died in 1940[11].
