Lionel was born in 1914, the son of Claude Ell and Ethel Thrower.[1]
He married Shirley Sands in 1940.[2]
He passed away in 1992[3] and was buried in Marsden Valley Cemetery, Stoke, Nelson, New Zealand.[4]
