Biography
Sarah was the younger of the two daughters born to George Ellen and his wife Ann Maria (Norris). Her birth was recorded at Brick Lane Baptist Church in Kingston upon Thames and she seems to have lived her whole life in Kingston. She married William Dale there in 1849 and all of their eleven known children were born there. They were: Ann Ellen (Rickard) 1850 - 1934 (?), Sarah 1851 - 1856, Alice (Alexander) 1852 - 1899, Harriet 1854 - 1856, George Charles 1856 - 1879, Hephzibah 1857 - 1861, William 1859 - 1861, Jane 1861 - 1861, Thomas 1863 - after 1911, John 1865 - 1924, Sophia Amy (Allen) 1869 - 1906.
Sarah died at Kingston in 1911 and was buried in Brookwood Cemetery, Woking, Surrey, on 28th March.
