Biography
William was born in 1866. He is the son of Charles Ellen and Elizabeth Hamilton. William died (at the age of 14) in a drowning accident at Lake Dulverton on August 12, 1880. [1]

Paul Helleman
The two Memoriam notices by the family 10 and 17 years later in the Mercury newspaper, both say he died on 14th August 1880, not 12th. This makes sense, as 12th was a Thursday and 14th a Saturday when they would have been more likely to be playing football.
