Brit Ellingsdatter Saure was baptized on 28 Oct 1759 in Hjørundfjord, the daughter of Elling Nilsen and Anne Karsteinsdatter.[1]
Brit married Ole Olsen Finnes on 30 Jul 1780.[2] Their children were:
- Randi Olsdatter (1780 - 1817)
- Anne Olsdatter (1783 - 1820)
- Elling Olsen (1787 - 1821)
- Ole Olsen (1790 - bef.1797)
- Anne Olsdatter (1794 - bef.1797)
She was buried on 17 Jan 1797 in Hjørundfjord.[3] The age given on her burial record was 39 years.
Brite's probate, dated 30 May 1797, names her husband Ole Olsen and their children:[4]

- daughter Randi Olsdatter, age 16 1/2
- daughter Anne Olsdatter, age 13
