I am an American women of Scandinavian and European descent. My most recent immigrant ancestors were from the Bergen area of Norway, (2 great-grandfathers and a great-grandmother). One great-grandmother was Swedish (1st generation American). Both my grandmothers considered themselves to be of German descent, although my DNA shows almost no (0-10%) German. Their ancestors came to America in the 1600s, 1700s, and early 1800s from Germany, Wales, and Switzerland. One grandmother came from Quaker roots; the other from Apostolic roots.
Deb was born around 1970 in Minnesota, where she was raised. She attended college in the greater Boston area. She married her husband, Blaine, in the early 1990s. She has one child, and now lives in the greater Chicago area in Illinois, United States.
She is interested in needlework, engineering, chemistry, board games, and family history.

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!
Pre-1700 ancestors can be shared by many descendants, so collaboration is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.
I’m usually look at your latest contributions to figure out which project to recommend, but you already have expressed interest in several areas. I'm going to suggest that you examine the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one or more projects to join. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.
Please take your time. Accuracy is so much more important than speed on WikiTree. And please add locations, dates, and at least one reliable source to each profile, particularly any pre-1700s profile, before you leave it. (See: Pre-1700 Reliable Sources).
Have questions? Ask in the comments section of my profile.
