Ann Elliot, daughter of Robert T. Elliot and Mary Rainey, born approx. 1743 in Middlesex, Cumberland Pa; she died about 1790 Cumberland Pa[1]

'Note:'According to Dr David Elliot, grandson of Robert Elliot (1695-1768) in a Memoranda in 1872; says Ann, daughter of Robert Elliot; moved to Greenfield Ohio and died there in her late nineties, which would place her death occurring after 1833[2] ; which does not support Carolyn Elliot Battles death year for Ann in 1790, Cumberland Co., Pa; in her published writing From Midlem Mill to Tippecanoe: An Elliott family tale.[1]

According to the Biographical Annals of Cumberland Co., Pennsylvania "The first of the Elliott family to settle in Pennsylvania was Robert Elliott, who came from Ireland in 1737 with his wife Mary, and children: Edward, Thomas, William, Robert, Grisel (who became the wife of Joseph McMin), Mary (who married John Irwin), Margaret (married William Clark), Ann, David and James. They made their home in what is now Middlesex township, Cumberland county"[3]and is known as a pioneer and frontiersman of that time[1]

Ann's father Robert Elliot died in 1768; his will was proved 7 June 1768[4]; filed in Cumberland Co., Pennsylvania; Register of Wills[5]

In the will Robert Elliot mentions his daughter Ann "I give and bequeath unto my daughter Ann Elliot [Eliot] thirty Pounds lawful money of Pennsylvania to be paid by my Executor but ten Pounds thereof I allow to paid out of the ready cash before given to my wife her disposal, I likewise order and allow a saddle unto my daughter Ann with her bed and furniture thereof''[5]

Ann Elliott married Samuel Mitchell of Mifflin, now Juniata County, Pa[2]

Ann Elliot and Samuel Mitchell had 5 children "two sons and three daughters"[2]Atleast of son was named William, who married and had a daughter, "his only child", who moved to Greenfield Ohio, and married a Smith[2]and one daughter was named Jane, oldest daughter[2]she married Charles Elliott, a cousin[2]

Ann Elliot died at Greenfield Ohio in her nineties[2]
