Hi Sean,

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within the projects which coordinate them is essential.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus, whether time period, location, or topic. Review the project page to learn how to collaborate with the project members.

Can't find what you're looking for? Let me know, and I can make some suggestions! :-)

Hey Sean, if your Elliotts originated in the NC or VA area you will probably be related to Scottish Elliotts. Armstrong,Elliott,& Johnston are all border reiver surnames. I recomending googling the border reivers to get the idea. Also a y-dna test will trace your Elliott ancestor.there is s huge Elliott dna project on FTDNA.
