It may be possible to confirm family relationships by comparing test results with Lindis or other carriers of her ancestors' mitochondrial DNA. It is likely that these autosomal DNA test-takers will share some percentage of DNA with Lindis:

There IS another Margaret Davidson in Allenton parish in 1841, with parents William and Margaret. However, I find it curious that this second Margaret has a younger brother, Thomas, but I can't find a birth record for him in GRO with mother's maiden name HUDSON on it. There is another Davidson child born in 1841, in Rothbury Union, mother's maiden name HUDSON: John.

Hi Lindis

Just checking in to see if you are ok :)

It has been 3 weeks since I posted a message on your profile and I have not had any feedback from you.

If I don't hear from you by the weekend, I will presume you no longer wish to be involved in the England Project.

I will then go ahead and remove you from the project and remove the badge.

Hope to hear from you soon :)

Hi Lindis,

It's been a year since the England Project was re-ignited. Thank you for being part of this exciting journey!

We really appreciate all your contributions and hard work :)

We would love some feedback from you please. :)

Are you happy contributing with the team you are on, or would you like a change, or even add to another team?

If you are not already on a team, which one would you like to be on?

If you are not sure what is available, just ask, we are here to help :)

Are you still happy contributing to the England Project?

Please PM me through my profile and let me know how you are doing :)

Thank you :)

Hi --

You’ve been here about a week, so I’m just checking in. How is it going so far? Were the How-Tos helpful or did they leave you with questions?

We want to help! Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

Hi Lindis,

Thanks for becoming pre-1700 certified. Now that you will be working on older profiles you will find yourself collaborating more with others. The best way to do this is by joining a project. I see you have ancestors from England. Have a look at the England Project, and see what you think. Give me a shout if you have any questions.

Thanks, Susie :-)

Hi Lindis, if your still in England that may help a lot. Lot of us in the states & elsware hit dead ends trying to get back to England. If you dont have any male relatives to take a Y-dna test that is a bit harder. If you connect automosaly with any Elliotts thats a good lead. If you can upload your ancestry to family tree dna i recomend. There is an Elliott dna project that may be of great help. JE
