Everett Madison Elliott was born on 31 March 1860 in Wayne County, Illinois, United States to Charles Sumner Elliott (b. c. 1834) and Virginia Jane Harrison (b. c. 1837).

1. Phebia Ann Renfro, known as Annie, (1863-1899) on 29 February 1880 in Kaufman, Texas. She was the daughter of Amos Renfro (1849-1931) and Mary Elmira Reed (1845-1875).
2. Nancy Elizabeth Webb, known as Nannie, (1879-1952) on 25 January 1900 in Parker County, Texas.
