Biography

Alice was born August 5, 1893 in Springhill, New Brunswick. She was a daughter of Robert and Martha Chase.[1]

She married Earnest Frederick Wellington Chase on Sept 9, 1910 in Fredericton, York County. A labourer from Saint Mary's, he was a son of Stanley and Lydia Chase.[1] She was 17 when they were married and already with child as their first son Jasper was born two months later.

In 1911, Alice was living in Fredericton and working as a domestic[2] while Ernest was living in Saint Mary's with his parents.[3] Their child, Jasper, was living with Alice's parents in Springhill.[4]

The family eventually united under one roof with at least eight additional children recorded. In 1921, tey were all living in the town of Devon where Earnest was working as a labourer.

Alice passed away on March 9, 1954 in Fredericton at the age of 60. She was interred at the Fredericton Rural Cemetery Extension.[5][6]
