Biography
Elizabeth Elliott was the daughter of William Elliott and Elizabeth Emms.[1]
Her birth year is not known, but can be estimated as about 1720 based on her father's birth and her marriage, probably in South Carolina where her family lived.
She married William Butler on 1 Dec 1738 in South Carolina.[1]
Although living in Ogeeche, SC, Elizabeth Butler's will is found in Chatham Co, GA records was dated 21 Nov 1775, and proved 29 Oct 1780[2][1] It identifies her as a widow, and refers to Miss Jane Butler, brother William Elliott, nephews William Elliott, Ralph Elliott, Stephen Elliott and George Parsons, daughter Mary Elliott Savage.[1]
