Daughter of Thomas Elliott of Surrey, esquire.
Elizabeth Elliott also various spellings Eliot, Elliot, Eliott
Elizabeth was born c. 1565 at Surrey, England, daughter of Thomas Elliott "of Surrey, Esq. & of St. Magdalen, Milk st. parish."[1]
Her birth date is a reasoned judgement, based on her 1583 marriage
As Chipman points out, the The Visitations of Surrey 1530, 1572, and 1623 contains an extensive pedigree of the Elliott family, but it is difficult to tell which Thomas is the father of Elizabeth.[2] Her father may have been the Thomas Elliot "of Surry (Newland Hall, Writtle, Essex, (ibid), knighted on July 23, 1623, except that he is listed among the "Knights Bachelors."[3]
William Dale married, on 19 May 1583, at St Peter's, Paul's Wharf, London, England, to Elizabeth Elliott of "St Mary Magdalen, Milk Street, Spr (Spinster?)."[4]
Children (list may not be complete):[5]
Note: William Dale reported to the Harleian Society when he applied for arms in 1613. The list of his children was added to the The Visitation of London 1568 ... at that time. It was not updated later and therefore does not contain the name of Edward Dale, born after 1613.[6]
Elizabeth's will was written on 22 November 162- and was proved on 8 February 1632/3.[1]
Alternate death information: Elizabeth died in 1630 at London, England.[citation needed]
