Research Notes

Scotland Birth Records record 1771 as baptismal date. A birth date of 1771 fits in with parent's marriage record and birthdates of siblings. My Heritage gives birth as 1770.

Elliott-14798 and Elliott-8754 appear to represent the same person because: They do represent the same individual, while bringing together more children of the ten that he fathered. Both profiles contain suggestions that his place of birth was in Northern Ireland (Calnek and elsewhere), while 8754 asserts that it was in Scotland. While this point is under analysis and research, I suggest that the merged profile should contain a =Research Notes= section to highlight that the issue is not entirely resolved, and is being researched from a DNA perspective.
