Her given name was Jean, and that is how she signed her marriage certificate. Her obituary notice spelled her name Jeanne. From her obituary: "She was survived by her children Mary Jo Simonds-Huneger of Manchester and Ken Simonds Jr. of Bend, OR; seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Besides her husband, she was predeceased by her daughter Marcia Smith. "
