Biography
Luretta was born on October 6, 1869 at Horse Shoe Bend in the Robbins area of Scott County, Tennessee. She was the daughter of Martin Van Buren Ellis and Thursa Jane ( Parker ) Ellis . She married Gains Whitecotton on May 30, 1886 in Scott County. She passed away on August 26, 1897 at Robbins in Scott County.
