Biography

Catherine Ellis was born in about 1816 in Slinfold, Sussex. She was the daughter of John Henry Ellis and Ann Ellis. She was christened on 5 Apr 1816 at St Peter's Church in Slinfold. Her father's occupation was given as farmer, and the family's address as Hill.

Catherine married Bernard Andrew Richardson on 26 Sep 1843 in Godalming, Surrey. Their fathers were named as Robert Richardson and John Henry Ellis.

Their daughter Alice Ann was christened on 19 Apr 1846 at St Mary's Church in Guildford, Surrey.^[1]

Their daughter Catherine was christened on 18 Sep 1847 at Holy Trinity Church in Guildford, Surrey.^[2] She died on 3 Jan 1849, aged 16 months.

Their son Bernard Henry was christened on 13 Aug 1850 at Holy Trinity Church in Guildford, Surrey.^[3]

Their son Robert Ellis was christened on 19 Nov 1851 at Holy Trinity Church in Guildford, Surrey.^[4]

Catherine died on 6 Nov 1851, aged 35.
