Biography

Arthur Ellis died in a coal mine explosion on 03 May 1887

Arthur was born about 1866 in Rothwell, Yorkshire, England,^[1] the son of David Ellis. Their family lived in Rothwell, Yorkshire, England where his father was a coal miner.^[2] In 1881, at age 15, Arthur was also a coal miner.^[3]

On 3 May 1887, Arthur (age of 21) was killed in the 1887 Nanaimo Mine Disaster along with his father.^[1][4]
