Martha was born in 1868. She was the daughter of Nathan Ellis and Elizabeth Mitchell.
On March 6, 1889, Josie married Perry Alvin Stanley, in Hendricks County, Indiana[1].
On March 29, 1892, Josie and Perry gave birth to their son Earl E. Stanley, in Morgan County, Indiana[2].
In 1910, Josephine (age 40) lived at 1629 Bando Street, in Los Angeles, Los Angeles, California, with her husband Perry (age 47 - born in Indiana and worked as a rig builder in an oil field) and their son Earl E. (age 18 - born in Indiana and worked as an elevator man)[3].
She passed away in 1955.
