There is shown one daughter, the first child Mary who was born in 1759 a year after Nathaniel married Mary Taylor. So I'm betting that Nathaniel had a 1st wife Mary Ellis and she is the Mother of Mary. Mary Ellis could have died during child-birth in 1759 because Nathaniel married Mary Taylor either a few months after his 1st wife died which have made him marry his 2nd wife about 1760 since a 2nd child was born in 1761, Mildred. I found the name Mary Taylor on Nathaniel's Find A Grave site, Memorial #62408679 along with the names of their children. I will type all this in, until we find actual proof and that we can add it in the Sources.
Stephens Port, Breckinridge, Kentucky, United States[15]

Mary married Rev Nathaniel Shrewsbury circa 1758 in Hanover Co Virginia.
Children
Known children include:
Mary "Polly" Shrewsbury (1759-), m: Valentine Mattox
Notes
Some research suggests there was one daughter, the first child of Nathaniel Shrewsbury (1739-abt.1818) (Mary "Polly" Shrewsbury) who was born circa 1759, a year after Nathaniel married Mary Ellis.
Mary "Polly" Shrewsbury married Valentine Mattox.
Mary Ellis could have died either during, or as a result of Mary "Polly" Shrewsbury's birth in 1759.
Nathaniel married Mary Taylor either a few months after his 1st wife died since a 2nd child was born in 1761, Mildred.
