Biography

Charles Heberton Ellis was born the son of David Ross Ellis and Sarah A. "Sally" Turner Ellis in 1843, Dubro, Cleveland County, North Carolina. He married Nancy M. "Nannie" Wesson July 16, 1858, at Pleasant Hills Baptist Church. They had eight children. Charles died February 16, 1903.
