Rowland Ellis was a Quaker Minister born at Bryn Mawr, Dyffrydan, Marionethshire, Wales, in 1650, who immigrated to Pennsylvania with his second wife and family in 1697. He became a Quaker in 1672 and was imprisoned in 1676.
