Hi! The Magna Carta project is working toward having a project member as "Guardian" for each Gateway Ancestor, to aid collaboration and to help watch over the profile. Many Guardians also develop and/or watch over a trail in WikiTree from the Gateway to a Surety Baron. (See details about the role of Gateway Guardians and Trail Tenders here, the "long answers" on the project's Glossary page.)

The Magna Carta project has identified a potential Magna Carta trail between Gateway Ancestor Rowland Ellis and Surety Baron William Mowbray. This profile will be developed as it is included in the trail to Sir William Mowbray.

If you'would be interested in getting involved or following our progress, you can do so at the Magna Carta Base Camp. You may also follow out progress through this link:

Rowland Ellis did not have a son named Thomas. This should be corrected here as it links to Thomas Ellis showing Rowland as his father which is incorrect.

The Magna Carta project has identified a suggested line for this Gateway Ancestor and will be starting a trail to a Magna Carta surety baron.
