Biography

Sally was born in 1786, the daughter of Cornelius Ellis and Jerusha Bryant.

Her birthplace, Middleborough, often appears as Middleboro in the records of the era.

Her father passed away in 1807.

Sally married Solomon Hyde on 10 May 1810 at Boston, Massachusetts. They had at least 2 children.

Her husband Solomon probably passed away in 1823; she went on to marry, secondly, Daniel Colby on 11 July 1824 in Boston, Massachusetts.

Census 1850: Recorded in the household of her son George W Hyde in Boston, Ward 8, Suffolk, Massachusetts, United States. Aged 64.

Massachusetts State Census, 1865: Recorded in the household of her married daughter Sarah Burwell and Sarah's husband and children in Chelsea, Suffolk, Massachusetts. Aged 78 and a Widow.

Sally passed away in 1865 at the age of 79. Cause of Death: Heart Disease
