Hi, Bonita!

Thank you for your participation in October 2020’s Source-a-thon. Your contributions helped us to clear over 57,000 profiles that needed sourcing. This makes our Shared Tree all that much better.

Keep up the great work!

Hi Bonita,

I see that you just removed the 1778 date of death from the profile of Abigail Bayless-14. Would you please explain on her profile what information you have that the 1778 date is incorrect. Thanks!

Hey Bonita,

I noticed you were doing many merges here on WikiTree. It's great that you are working to clear-up some of our duplicates. Please keep in mind that unsourced profiles may not be what they appear. If there are no sources you may want to look for sources to verify the merge.

When doing merges you will want to go back and clean-up the duplicate information in the profile biography, so merging the bio information as well.

Here is more information on merging on WikiTree.

Thank you,

Mags

Hi Bonita, you proposed a merge of Laughlin-533 with Laughlin-130. Laughlin- 533 has mother Price-3046 and my Laughlin-130 has mother Dunkin-550.I have them as half sisters.Their birthdates are about the same, but as they are in the 1700's it is difficult to be accurate.John Laughlin and Jane Mathews have two James as sons and I think that needs to be cleaned up a bit to lessen the confusion of this family. So I am not comfortable with merging these two at this time. I do however see the need to merge the Williams- McFerrin-19 and McFerrin-49

Thanks for the add, Bonita. I don't feel a great need to be a manager, but it's your choice. There are several other managers, but looks like Heather may be the only one active. Like I said, your choice.

Hello Bonita!

Welcome to the New Netherland Settlers Project. Please visit our FAQ and feel free to ask any questions you may have. If you're looking for your ancestors that might already be on Wikitree, check out our Immigrants and Progenitors page, though it is not quite complete and does not reflect all of the profiles that already exist.

Cheers! Carrie

I see that you just did the Pre-1700 Self-Certification. That's great! Is there a particular time period, location, or topic you're interested in? Maybe you have some historically-significant ancestors? Participation in a project is strongly encouraged for those wishing to edit Pre-1700 profiles. Be sure to also check out our Volunteer Hub to see our projects that really need new members!

Let me know, and I can help you figure out if there's a project that might interest you. Welcome aboard, we are glad to have you!
