Amherst Daily News, Thursday, March 21, pg. #8; Reel #2712, NSARM, Halifax, N.S. OBITUARY: Harmon E. Ells Advocate (Special) - The death of Harmon E. Ells occurred on Saturday morning March 16th at the County Home. Mr. Ells was the only son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jasson Ells. He was born ninety years ago at Hall's Harbour, Kings Co., N.S. He was a lover of flowers and took great pride in his garden. Most of his life was spent in Eatonville. His wife, the former Edith Scoville, predeceased him. He leaves to mourn two sons and one daughter, Millard, and Gertrude (Mrs. Enos Wasson), of Advocate; and Trueman, of Fox River; eight grandchildren; also three sisters, Mrs. Mahalah O'Donnell of Fairfield, Maine; Mrs. Charles Dunn of Saint John, N.B.; and Mrs. Wm. Parsons of Montreal. The funeral was held from the Baptist Church on Tuesday afternoon conducted by the pastor, Rev. Frank Mollins. Burial was in the family lot in the Advocate Cemetery.
