Elizabeth Ells ["Eeles Eelles" in Barbour] was born 3 November 1749 in Lebanon, New Haven County, Connecticut Colony, to parents Joshua Ells and Mary Bill.[1]
Notes
Year given was 1748; Barbour states 1749. Unfortunately, that is only 7 months before the birth of brother Joshua on 1 June 1750. Likely one of those dates is incorrect, but which one is unknown. Therefore, have marked Lydia's birth date as uncertain.
Barbour has numerous entries (in Lebanon) for "Eeles/Eelles". Uncertain when the spelling morphed into Ells.
