Biography

DONALD ELLSWORTH was born 3 November 1903 in Mesa, Arizona. He married MARGARET B. COOPER, 15 May 1930 in the Mesa Temple. She was born 23 June 1913 in Mesa, Arizona, the daughter of ORSON PRINCE COOPER and SYBIL CORA NEWELL. DONALD served as a missionary in the Southern States (1925-1927) for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He attended the Arizona State College at Flagstaff for three years where he met his expenses by playing in a dance orchestra. He later served as Bishop of the Chand• ler Ward for eight years and as President of the Mesa Stake from 19 March 1950. DONALD has also served in civic positions such as scout master, committeeman of the R•C Ranch of the Roosevelt Council of the Boy Scouts of America, and as one of the advisory board of the Sitgreaves National Forest. He is one of the three brothers, with LEO and LARENCE, who developed the extensive agricultural area near Queen Creek, Arizona. DONALD DELOS ELLSWORTH was born 23 February 1931 in Mesa, Arizona. He married ALBA JEAN LUFKIN, 10 July 1953 in the Idaho Falls Temple. DONALD DELOS attended the Brigham Young University and the Utah State Agricultural College for two years. His education was interrupted by a call as a missionary. He served two years in South Africa for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. While as a missionary he served as a counselor to the Mission President. After his mission and marriage DONALD DELOS served two years in the military. Child: BRENT DELOS ELLSWORTH, b. 3 June 1954 in El Paso, Texas. ELDA CAROLYN ELLSWORTH was born 3 July 1933 in Mesa, Arizona. ROBERT COOPER ELLSWORTH was born 17 January 1938 in Mesa, Arizona. "BOB" is an illustration of leadership ability, appearing in youth. He was president of the seventh grade class and the next year the eighth grade class. He served as president of the Deacons, Teachers, and Priests Quorums as he advanced to each. When BOB graduated from the public school he was given the "good citizenship" award by the local Chapter of the American Legion. During his senior year in high school, BOB was president of the Future Farmers. He graduated from the Church Seminary at the same time as from high school, May 1955. MARGARET ANN ELLSWORTH was born 27 November 1940 in Mesa, Arizona. JUNA ELLSWORTH was born 21 December 1942 in Mesa, Arizona.
