Biography

Caleb was born in 1738. Caleb Elmer served in the Revolutionary war, first in 07 Jul 1777 he is serving in Chandler's Regiment, then bet. Dec 1777–Jun 1778 he served with the 8th Connecticut Regiment, Captain Monson's Company, and was present at Valley Forge with George Washington during the harsh winter encampment then in Jul 1778 he is serving in Hait's Regiment . Again he served with the 8th Connectcut Regiment Bet. 15 Jun 1779–01 May 1780. Last he is found serving the 5th Regiment in 03 Aug 1781. He died Dec 10, 1781.
