Biography

When Thomas Elmer was born in 1710 in South Windsor, Connecticut, his father, John, was 40 and his mother, Mary, was 40. He married his first wife, Ann Elmer (cousins), on May 2, 1728. On February 14, 1752, he married his second wife, Elizabeth Beauchamp, in Hartford, Connecticut. He died on August 15, 1782, in his hometown, at the age of 72.

John Elmer[3], son of John and Rosamund (Ginnuarie) Elmer, was born ca 1670, probably in Hartford, Conn. and died 12 May 1722. He married, about 1695, Mary Adkins, daughter of Thomas and Jane (Williams) Adkins. (See Adkins Family). She was born about 1672 at Hartford, Conn. (84)(85). Children, all born at Windsor, Conn.:
  1. Rebecca was born ca 1693 to 1696. She married Thomas Cooley 13 Dec 1715. (See Cooley Family)
  2. John was born 22 Sep 1700 and died in 1722.
  3. Thomas was born ca 1702. He married first, Ann Elmer, and second, Eliz Beauchamp.
  4. William was born ca 1704.
  5. Martha was born ca 1706. She married a Mr. Evans.
