When Albert Avalyn Elmore was born on July 7, 1837, in Attica, New York, his father, Samuel, was 47 and his mother, Charlotte, was 33. He married Emily Augusta Teller on January 17, 1861, in Lapeer, Michigan. They had four children in 14 years. He died on April 11, 1924, in Davison, Michigan, at the age of 86, and was buried there.
