Biography
Dorothy was born on 1 February 1922. She was the first daughter of William Elskes and Mary Augusta (Mamie) Prinzing. She was married first to Joe Robert (Joe Bob) Hughes and second to Robert Walton Daves. She had two daughters with Joe Bob Hughes and a daughter and son with Robert Daves. She passed away in 2000, at home in Universal City, Bexar, Texas, USA.

My mother was a collector. She loved antique stores, craft shows, and was particularly fond of going to Round Top to the shows there. She was a natural interior decorator, and could take any objects and make an attractive display. She was also a great cook and gardener.
