DNA Connections
It may be possible to confirm family relationships with Mary by comparing test results with other carriers of her mitochondrial DNA.
However, there are no known mtDNA test-takers in her direct maternal line.

I have not thoroughly chased down my Elswick line, but I do have a few notes and Elswick-140 lacks documentation. There is a chance they are the same (6th GGM) for me, and I approach with an open mind. I need to spend some time at our MidContinent Genealogical library.
Elswick-123 and Elswick-140 do not represent the same person because: I find no evidence of a marriage for Elswick-123, other than her marriage to Archibald Thompson in 1760.
