Biography
Bethia Elwell was the daughter of Isaac Elwell and Mehitable Millett and was born 5 April 1682, Gloucester and she died there 19 Feb 1723.[1] and had the following child (she was his 1st wf.) [1]
She married 1st Abraham Rowe at Gloucester on 17 Jan 1705, son of Hugh and Mary (Pierce). Abraham was born 26 Apr 1680, Gloucester and d. there 8 July 1706. [1]
Mrs. Bethia (Elwell) Rowe married 2nd Peter Urann / Youring (Francis, William) who was b. Ipswich, Essex, Massachusetts 15 May 1694. He was a mariner and settled at Gloucester. As early as 1733 he purchased land at Methuen, Mass and in 1741 he was one of the petitioners for a township in that part of Methuen now in New Hampshire. In 1745 he was a resident of that part of the town now Salem, N.H. and in 1759 he asked for title to land in Salem. [1]
Bethia and Peter married 26 Jan 1720/1 at Gloucester [1] and had the following child (she was his 1st wf.) [1] :
- Peter, b. 16 Jun 1722, Gloucester
Peter m. 2nd 4 Nov 1724 at Wenham, Mass. Sarah Dodge, dau of John & Ruth (Grover). Sarah was born 9 Mar 1701/2, Wenham. Peter and Sarah had three children. [1]
