- Second Wife of Stephen Jesse Lane. Mother of Eliza Jane Lane Shropshire (1884-1962). Her parentage is disputed by the Ely family, so she may be the daughter of Ananias Ely or one of the other brothers. Mary Ely was born 10 May 1854. More research is needed since Susan Ann (Childers) Ely couldn't have had another child in 1854.
