Rex Vern Ely was born in Estes Park, Colorado on March 13, 1888[1] to Henry Ely and Nancy (Hupp) Ely. He was the youngest of three known children born to the couple.
Rex moved with his family to a farm in Jackson, Wyoming when he was a child.[2]
Rex passed away in southeast Idaho on June 5, 1904.[3] He was 16 years old. He is buried in South Park Cemetery in Jackson, Wyoming.[1]
