John Emery was born to John and Mary Sawyer Emery 29 September 1689 in Newbury, Massachusetts. "John, s. John, jr. and Mary, Sept. 29, 1686." VR of Newbury to the Year 1849, page 159.
John married Mehitable Short 30 December 1714 in Newbury, Massachusetts (as to her maiden name - she was mentioned in the 1706 will of her father Henry Short). They were married by the Reverend Mr. Moses Hale.
