Biography
When WILLIAM Emmett was born on September 19, 1836, in Abbotskerswell, Devon, England, his father, NICHOLAS (III), was 21 and his mother, ELIZABETH, was 27. He married CYNTHIA Jane Godsey on March 11, 1858, in Carroll, Missouri.[1] They had 13 children, 11 are known; five children died before 1900:[2]
