Biography
Malinda was born in 1852. She was the daughter of Robert J. Emmitt and Catherine Clark.
US Census Year 1870: Living with her parents and three siblings in Missouri, United States. Aged 16.
Malinda married James Madison Burwell on on 7 October 1871 at Carthage, Jasper, Missouri, United States. They had 6 children.
US Census Year 1900: Living with her husband and 7 children in Eden & Glencoe Townships, Payne, Oklahoma Territory, United States. Aged 47. Her husband was a Farmer.
Her husband passed away in 1903.
US Census Date 1930: Recorded in Stillwater, Payne, Oklahoma, United States. Aged 77 and Widowed. Her 37 year old daughter Dott was also recorded in her household.
She passed away in 1938 at the age of 86.
