Biography

Thomas Addis Cheere Emmett was born in 1884. He was the son of John Emmett and Kate Kelly.

He married a widow, Jacoba Martina Heystek in 1913 in Rustenburg. The marriage included some legal action in 1921 but his Death Notice indicates that he was still married to her when he died, this is confirmed by the burial records.

Thomas died in the General Hospital in Pretoria in 1954. He is buried in the Roman Catholic section of the Rebecca Street Cemetery.
