Birth and Origins
Margaret was born in 1842 at Selkirk, Selkirkshire, Scotland. She was the daughter of Thomas Emond and Mary Anderson. [1]

"Death notices: MACTAGGART.–On the 3rd September, at Raglan-street, Ballarat, Margaret, beloved wife of John Alexander Mactaggart, of Cape Clear, aged 63 years. (No flowers, by request.)"[4]
