Anna Maria was the first born child of Peter and Barbara Engel, married Johannes Neu, of Göppingen and lived there after 1595. They may have married and lived at Lorch, where at least two children were born before they settled at Göppingen. Anna Maria died only two weeks after her husband, among the early victims of the dreadful epidemic that struck the area in 1634-35. The parish register only states: "Buried, eod [ditto above dates - November 26, 1634], Anna Maria, Johannes Neu's widow."
